Are you passionate about creating a strong safety culture and ensuring best practices across a nationwide business? We’re looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join Brandon Hire Station, supporting our multi-site operations and promoting HSEQ excellence across the company.
Reporting to the National HSEQ Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing policies, delivering safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with HSE legislation. If you thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and have the drive to make a real impact, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Work across the business to ensure compliance with HSE legislation & company policies
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes & update procedures accordingly
- Lead Safety Guardians meetings & training to promote a strong safety culture
- Investigate near misses & incidents, identifying trends & root causes
- Drive proactive accident prevention, reducing incident frequency
- Ensure effective reporting, including monthly H&S reports & RIDDOR investigations
- Provide training & development to teams to ensure strong HSEQ knowledge
- Engage with employees, using influencing & negotiation skills to drive compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a Health & Safety management role within a multi-site, customer-focused business
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (or currently working towards it)
- Strong ability to build relationships & influence at all levels
- Organised, proactive, and confident in data analysis & reporting
- Passion for HSEQ best practices, with a hands-on, solution-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence required
- Knowledge of the construction industry (preferred but not essential)
