IT Business Analyst

Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our internal development team and help drive digital transformation initiatives across the organisation. This role will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that our digital transformation projects align with strategic goals and deliver measurable value.

Working within our development team and collaborating closely with Business Partners & Change & Transformation teams, you will enhance existing applications and processes that are essential to our operations.  In addition, you will be working closely with digital teams across the organisation to adopt new technologies, designing new processes and adjusting existing processes to support the successful integration of these technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team to identify, analyse, and document requirements
  • Create and refine user stories, ensuring they are clear, concise, and aligned with business goals
  • Develop acceptance criteria to define the scope and success measures for user stories.
  • Create use cases, wireframes, and workflow diagrams to support solution design
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings and process mapping exercises to assess current state and define future state processes
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the organisation’s key systems and processes, to understand current capability and effectively specify achievable improvements
  • Review and understand 3rd party technologies to identity and specify the best methods of integration with Vp business processes and systems
  • Work alongside our Business Partnering team and divisional Super Users to gather requirements, understand complex business process and challenge norms where necessary 
  • Regular reviews of developments to assist with providing accurate estimates and identifying scope creep
  • Drive the adoption of digital tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
  • Support change management activities by developing training materials, documentation, and communication plans


What We’re Looking For 

  • 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst in Agile development environments. 
  • Proficient in creating user stories, use cases, wireframes, and process flows. 
  • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, JIRA, or similar platforms. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Any of the following is advantageous:-

  • Degree related to IT, business systems analysis or a related field 
  • Equipment rental / plant hire - Desirable 
  • Proficiency in Visio, Miro or similar tools for process mapping and workflow visualization - Desirable
  • BI reporting tools (particularly Tableau & Snowflake) – Desirable
