Job Introduction
Visiting our MEP Hire branches and customer sites you will offer thorough examinations of fleeted low level access machines and lifting equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
Our successful candidate will demonstrate an organised and logical approach to work from day one coupled with a flexibility to undertake frequent travel and some overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- You will ensure all equipment which has been made available for examination is thoroughly tested and examined to meet regulation requirements.
- Ensure MEP Hire locations have sufficient areas of storage/segregation for lifting equipment
- Ensure the equipment quality reaches the required standard across the board
What We’re Looking For
- Our ideal candidate will have experience of low level access machines, general lifting and material handling equipment, preferably gained within a similar industry.
- You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
- NVQ Level 2 in plant maintenance or thorough examination – Desirable
- IPAF CAP qualification - Desirable
- LEEA (or similar) qualifications – Preferable
- Willingness to complete LEEA certification essential if not already holding the Entrance examination
- IPAF operators card; category 3a – Preferable
- Practical knowledge/experience of low level access machines and material handling equipment – Essential
- Valid full UK driving licence – Essential
