Job Introduction
Working directly alongside the Divisional Finance Director, you will take joint responsibility of the business finance function and financial digital development, aligned to the business’s strategic goals. You will work closely with the Managing Director, Divisional Finance Director, Senior Management and key business stakeholders. This will include multiple non finance departments providing commercial finance support, business partnering, FP&A, systems and process development exceeding customer expectations through prompt decisions, flexible processes and regular review of goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to manage change with integration of possible acquisitions, mitigate risks and developing and evolving financial systems
- Support Senior management by gathering information on specific business areas and presenting results
- Regional capital business plans written for senior management
- Manage investment process including capex evaluation, reporting, planning, asset control and participation in post-investment reviews
- Return on investment analysis and customer rates analysis
- Drive revenue through initiatives including real time reporting and automation
- Business partnering across various business stakeholders, challenging and advising where necessary
- Work to develop efficient processes, developing mandates and translating processes to IT to further maximise the effectiveness of all teams
- Mentor and assist with the development of the Assistant Accountant and the Accounts Assistant
- Production of key financial statements including P&L, BS, Cashflow and Forecasts
- Production of annual budget financial statements, utilisation and other reporting
- Detailed analysis and investigation of key financial areas such as cash generation, PBIT and ROCE
- Ownership of all financial systems change, developments and implementation for the division
- Assist Group Tax and Finance with production of statutory accounts and taxation information
- Oversee and review regional stock and fleet checks
- Review monthly BS reconciliations
- Managing business risk with internal audits to review individual elements of the business

- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook at an advanced / intermediate level
