Job Introduction
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Support Analyst to join our internal Technology team. This position will form a key part of the Technology Infrastructure team, working within a team and giving you exposure to leading technologies. Reporting into the IT Technical Support Manager, the Senior Technical Support Analyst is responsible for assisting with cloud migration, supporting, maintaining, and improving the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role provides project resource, hands-on technical support, troubleshooting and system administration.
The Senior Technical Support Analyst also provides mentoring, and escalated support for the Technology Service desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure, network and server issues
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the organisation’s key systems to deliver third-line support and resolve complex faults
- Monitor and optimise system performance, security, and availability
- Manage escalation and coordination with 3rd-party FM/support contracts
- Project manage technical rollouts, new branch openings, acquisitions, and other initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to SLA standards
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and policies
- Drive infrastructure automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, development, and data teams
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical infrastructure issues
- Provide accurate, timely reporting and documentation of progress and issues
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining both on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure
- Strong technical troubleshooting and communication skills
- Proficient in networking, virtualisation, and storage solutions
- Over five years’ experience with Microsoft on-premises solutions, Microsoft 365 services, and user endpoint management
- Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, CCNA, or Microsoft Azure Administrator (advantageous)
