Job Introduction
We are looking for a dedicated Asset Management Assistant to join our asset management team. Reporting to the Asset Supervisor, you will play a key role in facilitating the asset management process, including internal auditing, stock movement logistics, and ensuring that the asset register is maintained accurately. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with data, are organised, and have a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and manage logistics for stock movements based on asset utilisation.
- Visit company locations to carry out branch stock audits as part of the asset management process.
- Ensure the accurate and timely addition of Hire Fleet products to the company database.
- Ensure the removal of company assets in accordance with current procedures and standards.
- Maintain the asset register, ensuring that items are correctly categorised within the appropriate groups.
- Keep accurate records of all asset additions and deletions, and ensure database standards are met.
- Provide support to the branch network by answering any asset control-related queries.
- Assist in processing stock checks, including rolling stock checks, to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Analyse and interpret data to produce reports, offering recommendations for improvement.
- Design planned database changes and understand their potential impact on data management.
- Create and maintain database documentation, including reports, procedures, and data definitions.
- Consider the back-end organisation of data to ensure efficient accessibility for end-users.
- Manage parameters to optimise query response times for front-end users.
- Carry out any other duties within your skill set as required to support the business.
The Ideal Candidate
- Educated to a reasonable level, with strong academic qualifications.
- Previous experience in the tool hire industry is advantageous.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent administration, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Experience using Tableau software is desirable.
- Previous auditing experience is beneficial.
- Understanding of asset utilisation and its impact on business operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
