As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you’ll play a central role in delivering reporting and analysis that helps us drive operational performance, understand our costs, and support commercial initiatives.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and working closely with Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and Asset teams, you’ll provide timely, accurate, and relevant insight that supports real business impact.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a commercially focused finance function, with a clear development path to roles such as Finance Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely reports and analysis to support key business functions.
- Partner with cost centre owners and managers to review performance, understand variances, and drive improvements.
- Use business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) to automate, visualise and enhance reporting outputs.
- Build and adapt dashboards or data models to support commercial and operational initiatives.
- Manage ad hoc reporting and insight requests from stakeholders via the shared mailbox.
- Support the annual budgeting process and assist with aspects of the month-end process.
- Review and improve existing reports and data sources to ensure relevance and efficiency.
- Help maintain and document team processes and finance procedures.
- When considered necessary or appropriate by the company you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
- Prior experience in a finance, analyst, or commercial support role.
- Progress towards a professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA) is desirable.
- Strong Excel skills: experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data tools is a plus.
- Ability to work with large data sets and translate findings into clear insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — confident engaging with non-financial stakeholders.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset, keen to drive improvements and add value beyond reporting.
