Job Introduction
We are currently looking to appoint a Credit Control Team Leader in our head office SSC finance team in Long Eaton. As Team Leader you will provide day to day support for the credit controllers in the team and monitor daily workflow paths, ensuring targets are achieved.
This position requires an experienced credit controller who will be capable of managing the daily operations of the credit control team, driving cash collection, reducing aged debt, and managing high-risk accounts. Leading, mentoring, and training staff while acting as the first point of escalation for complex disputes whilst also ensuring a professional and high level of customer service at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Team Leadership & Performance - Motivate, coach, and supervise the credit control team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly cash collection targets
- Performance Management - Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs, and manage training needs
- Escalated Query Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for complex, high-value customer disputes and contentious payment issues
- Debtor Management & Reporting - Monitor the aged debt profile, perform risk assessments, and produce reports on cash flow and collection performance
- Process Improvement - Develop and implement efficient debt collection strategies and ensure compliance with Provision 29
- Relationship Management – Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients
