Procurement Analyst

Job Introduction

Reporting into the Head of Procurement this role will support the implementation of procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing, timely acquisition of goods and services and supplier relationship management. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for the provision and analysis of all data activities for the procurement function. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and areas for improvement
  • Conduct research on external markets and identify trends
  • Design, develop and produce reports and dashboards, to present procurement information to various internal stakeholder groups, including but not limited to; supplier information, detailed spend analysis, risk management, contract tracking and savings management
  • Maintain and own all data requirements for the procurement function
  • Support wider procurement activity, as required including, undertaking benchmarking, supplier engagement, market research and sourcing
  • Support and manage requirements for the Groups ESG ambitions, on behalf of Procurement.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in working with data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBi, Tableau) is desirable
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to take ownership of workload and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of working in a procurement function is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Full driving licence 
  • Ability to use own initiative
